The International Medical Faculty (IMF) was established by decision of the Academic Council of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University (KUIU) on September 11, 2024. Zhyrgal Toktogulovna Samyeva, Doctor of Biological Sciences, was appointed Acting Dean of the Faculty. The faculty’s structure was approved by Rector’s Order No. 102-ni dated July 2, 2025, based on the decision of the Academic Council.

 

The faculty is licensed to provide professional training in four areas of higher medical education:

 

  1. General Medicine (5 years of study);
  2. General Medicine (6 years of study);
  3. Dentistry;
  4. Pharmacy.

 

When developing the faculty’s structure, current national and international standards for medical universities were taken into account. Best practices from other educational institutions offering similar programs were analyzed, and business trips and meetings with colleagues were organized. The Center for Innovative Learning and Integrated Educational Programs has opened, comprising two departments:

 

  1. Department of Simulation and Training;
  2. Department of Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) and Objective Structured Practical Examination (OSPE).

 

The faculty has three departments providing comprehensive training for students:

 

  1. Department of General Medical and Morphological Disciplines;
  2. Department of Clinical Disciplines and Family Medicine;
  3. Department of Dental and Pharmaceutical Disciplines.

 

To ensure high-quality education, the faculty has modern facilities:

 

* Computer labs with the latest equipment;

* Classrooms equipped with multimedia and simulation devices for practical training;

* Laboratories for experimental research;

* Library and reading room;

* Internship facilities;

* Cafeteria;

* Gym and other infrastructure;

* Automated Learning Management System (AVN);

* Center for Innovative Learning and Integrated Educational Programs;

* Department of Quality Control and Industrial Internships.
